Hunting Details

     Green River sports unlimited access to hunt Rio Grande turkey in the pristine habitat around the Verdigris River. Our unit is a 1 bird/hunter limit. Members are allowed their 1 bird and 2 guest birds. From roost hunts and traditional walk and call style hunting to getting down and dirty behind the strutter decoy and getting aggressive, at GRSC members can do it all! The turkeys in our area are a Rio/Eastern Hybrid and sport solid spurs and body weights, along with the tendency for multiple beards.

** Turkey tags are now a draw for nonresidents. Application period starts in January and ends in February. Turkey hunting is now added to the membership pricing only if you choose to apply for and are successful in drawing your tags.
